About the Society

The Undergraduate Creative Writing Society aims to unify and strengthen UTEP’s writing community. The Society is an opportunity for writers to meet, attend / curate readings, exchange ideas, and to read and critique each other’s work.

The Society is open to ALL MAJORS as well as EPCC students.

Meetings

Fall / Spring: Every Thursday (unless otherwise specified) in the River View Room 120H at Union East. 7pm.

Events

7pm. Tuesday, September 27th, 2011. Buttered Toast Readings with UTEP students. Templeton Suite, Union East. Sponsored by the UTEP Undergraduate Creative Writing Society.

7pm. Friday, October 14th, 2011. Buttered Toast Readings: Special Guest Series + Dishonest Mailman present a poetry reading with Farid Matuk. Rubin Gallery. Sponsored by the Department of Chicano Studies, Department of Creative Writing, Department of English, and the College of Liberal Arts.

7:30pm.
Friday, November 4th, 2011. Department of Creative Writing presents Sergio Troncoso and Aaron Morales. Quinn Hall.
